The best part of the show happened when we were in a concert but it was still going 3.5 hours later around 11.30pmLots of Red, pink, orange showed this was a powerful one and the aurora was seen far south into Europe
Possibly the best in 40 years
It was also a calm still night and a few people heard the aurora calling

Shetland- colourful Red Alert
It was a colourful aurora, quickly changing in structure and colour. No surprise as we head towards Solar Maximum
You can always tell its a big one as the aurora headed all the way east close to Sandlodge in Sandwick
Back home later but well worth it. Many more photos from the night on Shetland Aurora Hunter on Facebook
