After days of weak activity things finally came together with a 3 day blast from the sun. Saturday being the best night and the photos below are from that night
Aurora activiy started as soon as it went day , 7.30pm and it was already on a major alert.
The sky was dancing and you could see plenty of rays and even colour to the eye. This was a night that would stay in the memory for a long time
I headed to Sandsayre on the east side of Shetland wjich was a wise move with clear skies
I could see the aurora as soon as i got out of the car and was surprised to find noone else about
I had put the major aert out on Shetland Aurora Hunter on facebook and photos soon started to come in
I was glad of an early start as it started to fade after 9pm
It was a perfect night, few clouds, still and rather warm.
