It has been a good run of Aurora in Shetland , six nights on the trot. The main problem with Monday was the moon
It was at 95% full which normally drowns out any Aurora, unless its big
Luck it was a KP6 which means its a strong Aurora and this beat the moon
I had a tour round the south mainland seeing noone else
It was clearer further up north, looking at the photos that came into Shetland Aurora Hunter on Facebook.
The Aurora always creates alot of interest and over this acyive period we have had 261 new folk join the group
Moonshine
Cloud kept coming and going, but i used this to good effect waiting for the moon to go behind a cloud before taking an Aurora photo
